NEWS AND NOTES:
Welcome to our DCE Intern –Shay Miller
Welcome to Shay, Justin, Dylan, and Molly Miller from Seward, Nebraska. They arrived in Huntington on June 1st. They are living in the Church parsonage at 657 Polk St.
Organ Restoration
The Scrip program is supporting the Organ Restoration as long as needed. Our organ is in need of some major repairs that could cost as much as $100,000. It does not have to be repaired all at one time. We can make the repairs as we have the funds. A special fund has been established. There are envelopes in the pews for this special fund. If you care to give a gift for something special this is a great need of the church.
Love Inc.-Urgent Request
Love Inc. urgently needs clothing for our Back-to-School Fair. We served 398 kids last year from grades k-12th. We anticipate a similar number for this year. We really need to start to get clothing in ASAP. Although the Back-to School Fair doesn’t occur until July 31st, it takes a lot of time to do all the sorting, sorting and more sorting. We also have some volunteer groups willing to help sort but don’t have enough clothing right now to sort. We especially need Jeans of all sizes. Please drop off you donations to Love Inc. at 715 Byron Street. Thank you.
National Offering
There will be a National Offering taken for the Synod on July 4th and 5th to help with Synod needs. It will be collected on the first Saturday and Sunday in July.

New Church Directory
We would like to form a committee to take on a new picture Church Directory project. We need a committee chairman and about 3 or 4 others to take on this project. Once the committee is formed, they will interview the picture companies and make the recommendation on who to contract with.
We will need all names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses plus any updates of all church members if they would like to be in the directory.
If anyone would like to volunteer for this project, please contact the Church office at 260-356-6528. Thank you.
According to the dictionary, a prophecy is" the message that has been communicated to a prophet which the prophet then communicates to others. Such messages typically involve divine inspiration, interpretation, or revelation of events to come." The next couple of bible studies will be on the subject of Prophecy and the first is titled "THE PROPHETS ARE SERVING YOU." Take a few minutes to read over this important aspect of our faith and belief. -Pastor Fischer
